Florida food manufacturers need to present a good food defense strategy to avoid potentially poisoning consumers. No longer will the shield of corporate layers protect individuals from personal culpability. Tampa, Lakeland, Winter Haven and Sarasota food plants must follow Good Manufacturing Practices which means keeping dock doors closed, creating vestibules into the plant, installing dock seals and shielding the facility from intruders that fly, crawl or walk.
